c0c0n is a 19 years old platform that is aimed at providing opportunities to showcase, educate, understand and spread awareness on Information Security, data protection, and privacy...
Recon Village is a community-driven cybersecurity village focused on reconnaissance, OSINT, attack surface discovery, and investigative techniques. It provides a platform for security professionals, researchers, students, and enthusiasts to explore how publicly available information, internet-scale datasets, and reconnaissance methodologies can be used to understand digital exposure and investigate real-world security problems.
The village combines practical learning with interactive activities such as hands-on challenges, live demonstrations, quizzes, CTFs, and investigation-based exercises. The objective is to make reconnaissance and OSINT techniques more accessible, while also encouraging participants to think creatively about asset discovery, digital footprints, threat intelligence, and security research.
At c0c0n 2026, you will find the following 4 activities / contests:
Participants work through a simulated missing-person investigation using publicly available information, digital footprints, and OSINT techniques. The challenge tests investigation, correlation, and reasoning skills.
An interactive quiz where participants solve practical reconnaissance and OSINT questions using real tools and techniques. The focus is on speed, accuracy, and hands-on problem solving.
A capture-the-flag competition built around reconnaissance, asset discovery, OSINT, and internet intelligence challenges. Participants progress through tasks that require both technical skills and creative investigation.
A live, interactive activity where participants discover what information about themselves is publicly exposed online. It demonstrates digital footprinting, privacy exposure, and how easily seemingly disconnected information can be correlated.
